Kiss of Life

Monday mornings. Everyone loves them. The failure of the alarm clock, the attempt to cram as much breakfast in your mouth as quickly as possible, the rush to the station to then angrily swear as your train pulls out just as you approach the bottom of the escalator. Life can suck sometimes, but fortunately with the aid of music, most things seem to become better and less dreary then the mundane cycle which many people associate as ‘living’. Kiss of Life by Friendly Fires is one such track which has throngs of adults and kids alike jamming on trains, at home or even the local police station on a reckless Saturday night. The combination of drumming, singing, humming and chanting, further enriched with an euphoric entourage makes this tune a must for any occasion. Have a good week!

The tunes are coming thick and fast and the latest effort from Miike Snow is no exception. MS’s most recent remix of Peter, Bjorn and John’s “It don’t move me” not only builds on the original, but amazingly manages to offer a more enlightened experience. The coolness of Peter Moran’s voice backed with Miike Snow’s addictively simple beats seems to get the best of any spectator. Very cool.

Peter Bjorn & Johns - It Don't Move Me (Miike Snow remix)- Highly recommended

These Girls fall like Dominoes

So upon Listening to the J’s this morning, with a decent surge of caffeine now making its way through my system, I was taken back by what seemed like the catchiest chorus that I have heard in a while. The Big Pink are a new electro rock band that have started to make ground in the UK and their new song “Dominoes” is one which I can hypothesis to be played at many a destination. It reminds me of a typical Saturday night. Keep it safe.

Lifelike Summer Bliss

Mid week shenanigans. It used to be the best time of the week at school and University; however opinions radically change in the workforce, especially when you still have 2 more days to the weekend. However by being more optimistic, you’re over half way there, so in retrospect everyone should be happy. This new remix by Lifelike represents this passing of time and the time to come till summer. The song reeks of sun, epic house parties and sleazy banter…………Enjoy. J out.
