Chiddy Bang are Back

Another Gem for your enjoyment, Chiddy Bangs’s freshest track “All things go” again sees some more progressive hip hop – a current trend in America that seems to be taking off (Kid Cudi, Drake). The sound is refreshingly original and I anticipate big things for these boys to come.

Fresh New Tunes - Summer Feeling

Is it just me or does one appreciate tunes a hell of a lot more when basking in the glorious rays of the sun? Well the Midnight Juggernauts newest tune ‘this new technology’ obviously gets the thumbs up and not only because it sounds good while you are soaking up some essential vitamin D. Their latest track is reminiscent of the Beatles and is a tune which arguably forces a smile from cheek to cheek.

Miami Horror have also released a new (ish) single called "Sometimes". This song is plagued with that summer feeling, days spent idilly on the beach, sipping beers on the rooftop and rocking out to many a house party. Enjoy.

Crunch Time

“Crunchy” seems the most suitable word to describe this particular mix. Crunchy as in a NFL linebacker breaking the spinal column of a Wide receiver. Crunchy as in your jaw shattering as it makes contact with Tyson’s haymaker, Crunchy as in………well it’s best you decide……….Enjoy getting loose to this one.

Timing Is Everything

...so one more week of wait is probably worth it for this gem (Phrazes For The Young now pushed back to Nov 3rd).

Another Phoenix Remix?

Made the Grade’s hyperdrive has just been engaged and the tunes are flowing as fast as the vino would at one of Bacchus’s feasts. This time however, Shuttle from Passion Pit has deservedly served up the goods. His work sees a collaborated effort with French Electro-Rock stars Phoenix to produce a mix of “Love is like a Sunset”.

The remix incorporates the soothing vocals of Phoenix’s lead singer Thomas Mars and is accompanied with some solid drum beats whilst having some fairly heavy base lines dropped in all for good measure.

This particular mix comes off sounding pretty dancy without being overly heavy to induce frothing at the mouth and seeing as Phoenix were overseeing this particular project one can not help but to appreciate the joint venture even more.

Don't fix my... Freelance Whales

It's pretty easy to overlook the next indie buzz band/Brooklyn art heroes to come out of the hype machine. And yes. They are one of those bands with a mandolin. But don't be fooled. Freelance Whales are actually the real deal.

Somewhere, someone described them as like "Arcade Fire for your little sister". I'm not quite sure. But they do exude a ceratin fragility. Each song executed with a delicate precision that kind of reminds me the Postal Service. Here is a pair from their debut EP, Weathervanes.

If you're a fan, check out "Starring" on their myspace (may explain the Postal Service reference). Great, great tune.

Edit: Actually i've worked out something called imbed. Huh? For your convenience.

Love.
